What you’ll do:

As our organization grows, so does the complexity of our business. Therefore, we seek a Financial Controller to take charge of our financial processes and control as we scale. Partnering closely with our CFO and management team, this position will be vital in driving high growth. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the timely and effective execution of critical financial transactions and controlling.
  • Optimizing our financial processes and systems to support high growth with a focus on efficiency through automation.
  • Launching and managing a subscription system for precise billing and reporting as we implement recurring revenue models.
  • Overseeing auditing, budgeting, and forecasting exercises driving business planning and decision-making.
  • Preparing and presenting recurring financial reports to management and employees
  • Orchestrating effective collaboration with external financial partners (accounting, payroll, auditors, legal).
  • Preparing business plan financials, supporting the expansion into new services and areas.
  • Providing financial recommendations and sparring to BeCause’s management.

You will thrive if you:

  • A master’s degree in finance, economics, or similar (Cand. Merc. (FIR, FSM, AEF, ASC), Cand. Polit., Cand. Oecon.
  • 1-3 years of post-graduate professional experience with financial controlling in a startup/scaleup or a small to midsized international company.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statements, e.g., Profit and Loss (P&L).
  • Ability to be a self-starter and hands-on, navigating ambiguous settings and the fast pace of a startup.
  • Highly analytical and structured problem solver.
  • A strong desire to drive and deliver results, meeting deadlines.
  • A confident individual unafraid to question and improve current ways of working and thinking.
  • Positive energy and a friendly attitude.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Our hiring process:

  • Initial screening interview with our Recruitment Partner Martin Gejlsbjerg: 30-45 minutes.
  • First interview with Denny Fröjd, CFO: 1 hour.
  • Second interview includes a small case to really understand how you think: 1 hour.
  • Third interview, meeting the janitors (our C-level): 45-60 minutes.
