The Danish Centre for AI Innovation (DCAI) is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to join our team. As the sole financial resource, you will take full ownership of the organization’s economy, establishing and managing financial operations while driving compliance and strategic planning. As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing DCAI’s financial operations, shaping the organization from the ground up.

Acting as the sole financial resource, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including reporting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Working closely with the CEO, board, and external stakeholders, you will help drive DCAI’s mission to advance AI innovation.

Your key responsibilities and tasks will include:

Setup and Oversight: Establish and manage the entire financial reporting system for DCAI, internally and externally.

Selection and implementation of an ERP system:Responsible for identifying and deploying an ERP solution that efficiently manages invoices, customer relationship processes, and other essential organizational needs.

Strategic Leadership: Lead financial forecasting and long-term planning to optimize the organization’s financial structure.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting regulations and legal standards for C-large organizations.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Provide high-quality financial input to the board and collaborate with external partners.

Operational Management: Oversee cash flow, budgeting, and risk management while transactional tasks including bookkeeping and accounting are handled by external resources.

Professional and personal qualifications: To succeed in this role, DCAI imagines that you have:

10+ years of financial or advisory experience in a C-large accounting organization or similar setup.

A Master’s degree in a related relevant field

Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.

Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software.

Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Proficiency in English; Danish is an advantage.
