Senior Software Developer (m/w/d)

Your new role

As their new Senior Software Developer at Heylog, you will be an essential member of a talented team. Although still in the early stages of development, the team is well-equipped with the right tools and possesses a mindset geared towards success. Driven by high motivation, they are focused on scaling a platform designed to alter transport communication. Their innovative approach can save up to 25% in time per shipment, streamlining logistics and enhancing efficiency. You’ll be responsible for conceptualizing and developing backend web architecture alongside their product team. Your new responsibilities and tasks

Much of your work will include continuous sparring with the founding team. You will bring your technical insights, taking your ideas to implementations, with your hands-on involvement in contributing to the codebase. You’ll be working on brand-new features, developing from the ground up, and setting the technical direction. Furthermore, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with the product team in a cloud-native environment to transform backend requirements from conception to the final product, addressing technical and consumer needs.
  • Design and implement APIs for both private and public use.

What you need to succeed

You are a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development. You are structured, can estimate delivery plans, and define the best practices around coding methodologies, software development, and quality assurance, including regulatory standards. Furthermore, you’ll bring the following:

  • Proficiency in Node.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, and Prisma ORM.
  • Demonstrated experience in building APIs, serverless functions, and integrations with third-party applications and external APIs.
  • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), emphasizing best practices, security, and data privacy.
  • Experience with NX or other Monorepo tools.
  • Knowledge of Behaviour-driven development (BDD) principles.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like Notion, GitHub, and Jira/Confluence.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high code quality standards, testing, and clean software architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 65,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
