As Peony's Founding Designer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the success of their product by designing an experience that feels simple, authentic, and refreshing. They will work closely with the founding team and engineers to create ground-breaking designs, moving all aspects of the product in unison. The responsibilities include:

• embracing the complex nature of designing a new file system and striving for innovation
• seeing product design as an experience, integrating animation, typography, aesthetics, etc.
• pushing for simplicity in experience and authenticity in expression
• having a good sense of pace and delivery, knowing when to prioritise quality
• solo shipping high-quality designs from ideas to hand-off within the next 18 months, eventually building their team
• collaborating closely with the founding team and engineers
