The job
Location: Germany Remote / Hybrid options available
Department: Product
Reports to: Chief Product Officer
About the Role PlentyONE is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the back-office core of our ERP platform for SMB e-commerce merchants: Product Information Management (PIM), Order Management (OMS), and Warehouse Management (WMS). You’ll look beyond the individual modules to reimagine how a merchant’s operations run when AI is built into the foundation, and you’ll be accountable for merchant outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Define the vision and roadmap for PIM, OMS, and WMS as one connected system, anchored to merchant outcomes (time-to-list, on-time fulfillment, cost-to-fulfill, inventory accuracy, hours of manual work saved)
- Find the seams between product data, orders, and warehouse execution where merchants lose the most time and money, and challenge assumptions inherited from traditional ERP
- Identify, define, and ship AI features that matter: automated product data enrichment, intelligent order routing and exception handling, demand-aware warehouse planning, and agentic workflows with clear guardrails and merchant control
- Set quality bars, evaluation methods, and human-in-the-loop patterns for AI-driven actions in operationally critical workflows
- Work in an AI-native product development lifecycle: use AI daily for discovery, specs, analysis, and prototyping, and show working concepts instead of long documents
- Partner with engineering, design, data, and go-to-market to build, measure, and improve features after launch
- Run continuous discovery with merchants, warehouse operators, and merchandising teams
- Shape our integration strategy across marketplaces, 3PLs, carriers, and storefronts
Requirements
What You Bring
- 6+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time in e-commerce, ERP, or commerce operations software
- Track record owning complex, workflow-heavy B2B or merchant-facing products from strategy through launch
- Strong understanding of the commerce operations lifecycle: item setup, catalog syndication, order capture, fulfillment, returns, and inventory
- Experience defining outcome-based roadmaps tied to measurable merchant and business results
- Hands-on fluency with AI tools and a clear point of view on where LLMs, agents, and ML do and don’t belong in operational software
- Comfort with data: run your own analyses, and challenge a dashboard
- Strong written and verbal communication and sound product judgment under ambiguity
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with PIM, OMS, and/or WMS products, as a builder or as an implementer at a merchant or brand
- Experience with ERP suites or composable commerce stacks
- Shipped AI/ML-powered features in production
- Experience with APIs, marketplace and carrier connectors, or 3PL ecosystems
- Familiarity with SMB e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon Seller Central, etc.)
