Responsibly is a fast-growing, VC-backed start-up at the intersection of AI and sustainability, with a vision of making every purchase in the world responsible. Founded by serial entrepreneurs (previous ventures include Ofload) and backed by Europe’s top VCs and angels, we’re working with some of the world’s largest companies — including Maersk, Pandora, Bayer, Shell — and building the foundation for massive global expansion. We’re entering the next stage of our journey: expanding across Europe and the US, professionalizing our sales function, and doubling down on enterprise deals in the €50–200k range. With Series A on the horizon, the next 6–12 months are about capturing momentum and setting the stage for scale. Why this matters 🌍 Procurement decisions shape the world: more than 40% of global emissions and many ESG issues are directly or indirectly tied to supply chains. Yet analyzing 100–100,000 suppliers is nearly impossible — and most sustainability ratings simply aren’t good enough. That’s why Responsibly exists. Our AI-powered due diligence engine automates ESG and broader supplier risk assessments, surfacing risks, violations, and positive actions in real-time. The result: procurement teams can build more responsible, resilient supply chains, while unlocking value across sustainability, risk, and compliance. And the wow-factor is real: customers see insights as soon as they upload their supplier list. We’re expanding beyond ESG to cover the full spectrum of procurement data needs, from cybersecurity to labor practices.

The job

The role 🚀

We’re looking for a VP Sales to lead and professionalize our commercial function, while continuing to win big enterprise deals hands-on. This is a role for someone who thrives at both execution and leadership: you’ll close flagship accounts while building the foundation for a future AE team.

You’ll work closely with our CEO and leadership team to drive strategy, capture enterprise opportunities, and maximize the impact of our strong inbound, product-led motion, and high-performing SDR team. You’ll be instrumental in our US expansion post-Series A while continuing to grow our European footprint.

What you’ll be doing 🙌

  • Own and lead Responsibly’s enterprise sales function, working directly with the CEO to set strategy and deliver results.
  • Act as a player-coach: closing €50–200k+ enterprise deals yourself while building and mentoring a scalable sales team over time.
  • Leverage a performing SDR/outbound function to ensure pipeline generation and conversion into high-value opportunities.
  • Professionalize the sales function: implement processes, metrics, and playbooks to take us from “0–1” to “1–100.”
  • Partner with marketing and product to refine ICPs, pricing, messaging, and GTM strategy across Europe and the US.
  • Drive experimentation with enterprise sales tactics, ensuring continuous improvement in conversion and sales cycle efficiency.
  • Establish clear reporting on pipeline, forecast, and funnel metrics to align with leadership and investors.

Requirements

About you 😎

  • A proven top-performer in B2B SaaS enterprise sales, with several years of closing enterprise deals.
  • Experienced in building or professionalizing sales functions in start-up/scale-up environments (ideally around Series A–B).
  • Excited to be both hands-on and strategic: you love closing deals and being in customer meetings, while also shaping a team and process.
  • Comfortable working with global enterprise clients and experienced in expanding into new markets (bonus: US expansion).
  • Strong communicator, able to simplify complex problems and build compelling narratives for procurement and sustainability leaders.
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful: you thrive in fast-paced environments, solving problems and building playbooks as you go.
  • Experience selling to procurement or sustainability teams is a plus, but not required — curiosity and fast learning are key.
  • Based in (or excited to relocate to) Copenhagen, with working rights in Denmark.
